As you can see there are a multitude of different layouts.
Most of the time I use Pic Stitch just to re-size my photos to fit in the instagram 1x1 box.
It's a very simple yet effective process.
Select a frame, then double tap to select a picture. That's it.
But, yes there is a lot more that can be done. Check out the screen shots below...

Or, just change the frame to a solid color frame.
Also, you are given the ability to round out the frame.
The border can be thinned or made to be more bold.
I use the above feature the most. Changing the aspect ratio is a useful tool for fitting you entire pic for importing into an app like Instagram that limits the amount of picture you can fit in their 1x1 square.
Change the color of your original picture right from Pic Stitch.
Now you are ready to share to multiple outlets. Your audience awaits.
If you select 'Instagram' then you are given even more options to share your stitched master piece to.
But, before then you have an option to save to your camera roll.
